What is Invisalign Treatment?
Invisalign aligners use a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you’re wearing. Made with 3-D computer imaging technology, Invisalign treatment has been proven effective. More than 70 percent of orthodontists in the United States and Canada are certified to treat with Invisalign treatment.
Why would I want Invisalign Treatment?
Not only are the aligners invisible, they are removable, so you can eat and drink what you want while in treatment. Plus, brushing and flossing are no problem.
Invisalign aligners also allows you to view your own virtual treatment plan when you start so you can see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.
How does Invisalign Treatment work?
You wear each set of aligners for about 2-3 weeks, removing them only to eat, drink, brush, and floss. As you replace each aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will move – little by little, week by week – until they have straightened to the final position Dr. Wang has prescribed.
You’ll visit Dr. Wang about once every 6 weeks to ensure that your treatment is progressing as planned. Total treatment time averages 9-24 months, and the average number of aligners worn during treatment is between 18 and 30, but both will vary from case to case.
